Course description:
The course lasts 15 weeks (twice a week) during semester 1 for first-year students of AUD, CEN, ECI, IND and KOR faculties. It is an elective course which is elected out of 5 courses. The course is a practical class, focusing on developing students’ competence in the area of general English. Language skills will be taught in integration with each other. Vocabulary will be introduced along with respective listening or reading input (text).
Objectives
-use general and job-related vocabulary in appropriate context
-understand different types of spoken and written texts
-produce various types of spoken discourse with business and academic focus
-compose various text types of writing
-become a global citizen by being introduced to global issues and their
solutions

The aim of the course is to develop Year 2 students’ overall language proficiency focusing on 4 language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
